the blue box on the right side of the page under in game hints says 'welcome mats come from cabin collection' but this is no longer part of the goal. no idea how to edit it so maybe someone else can? :)

Has anyone else just randomly finished this? No one sent me one, i didnt get one from the weather or the cabin.

I got a Welcome Mat after building up and tearing down many cabins - but only actually finishing (with materials) 4 total. It was only with the full (including building materials) completion of the last (4th) cabin that I got the Welcome Mat as a drop. That's when I stopped. I don't recall if it came with that last step or if it came as the Daily Bonus that day.

I got my welcome mat from a mystery gift. I assume it has a higher hit rate there.

Ugh! I finished the Get Ready for the Schoolmarm goal ages ago and this one still hasn't shown up can anyone tell me if they had the same problem?

Seriously... Zynga needs to make a change to this welcome mat droprate or something... now im stuck with 2 goals that i need items that drop from buildings... and it takes forever to complete these...

I thought I had come up with the perfect way to cheat myself a Welcome Mat. I had a stockpile of about 3000 wood. I thought, "Hey, I'll just keep building cabin after cabin until I get a welcome mat." Now I'm down to 0 wood and at least 12 of everything in the cabin collection except the welcome mat, of which I still have 0. It's my conclusion that the welcome mat only spawns via the daily bonus of a completed cabin.

How do you even get this mission ? I have met all the requirements and it still has not become available... Does it have to do with the Independence day missions ?
