Trees are items that are available for purchase in the Market using either Coins or Horseshoes. Unlike Crops, Trees do not wither.

Lumber Trees ( Statistic ) Edit

Lumber trees grow on their own; they don't need watering. A Pine Tree which has been partially chopped will regrow one chop every 7 days; an Oak Tree will regrow one chop every 10 days.

HintsEdit

You can move Fruit Trees at any time.

Keep at least 5 of each type of Fruit Trees to help your Neighbors fulfill their Goals. Grouping them by type will help your Neighbors find them more easily.

Keep a small stand of Lumber Trees on your lot to fulfill Goals. There are later goals that require access to Bears, which you can only get from chopping down Medium or Large trees on your own land. Since it can take 11-16 days to get maximum sized trees, having a rotating supply of large trees will help you later. Since Pine grows faster than Oak, you might concentrate on having Pine.

You can purchase Lumber Trees from the Market, either as saplings for 350 or 550 coins or as fully mature trees for 10 or 12 Horseshoes. However, there is a cheaper way to build a small lumber stand on your lot. If you have any Lumber Trees, your lot will randomly sprout saplings.

Just buy a bunch of saplings from the market and chop those, it should count.

The snow covered trees are gone, and the green leaved trees have returned, but has anyone else noticed that they are different than they were originally? I own a tree-house, which was identical to the original green trees(besides having the house built in it's branches). The new tree's green leafy top does not match that of the tree-house's green top....hmm

The snow was just now removed!! Regular green trees are back, till autumn, I guess.
And there are cute little flowers by the trees!!

For some reason the percents dont match in-game processes, especially around the launch of large quests that require varmints and holiday quests. The percent that you get a bear to spawn off a large tree is certainly not 100% anymore. I cannot dispute the other percents however.

it says that trees wont grow if you on't have any big trees. thats a lie!!! i got rid of all my trees for that purpose and they still sprout everywhere. its stupid and annoying.

my whole homestead is enclosed in a fence and i cut down all the trees and cleared all the grass/wildflowers/skulls/thorns and stumps. but they still grow! out of nowhere! and there's a fence!! >.<

Yes it can it is part of the reproducing process of debris. You may not have any more debris, but it will still grow.

o are you sure they keep resawning even without trees my girlfriend cleared all the trees and now they dont grow back at all. it took her three weeks apparantly and she left the stumps i think to stop new ones spawning if anyones interested i can try to get her to clarify what she did.

There's been a glitch for some people where nothing grows. And yes, I am certain because I've gotten saplings without any other trees around.

If there is enough space on your homestead, they will grow even if there are not trees.

It's like the wild flowers/grass/rocks/cacti. They are kind of like weeds. So if there is space in an unenclosed area (one not surronded by fences) they will grow. It's worth while keeping a few on your homestead because you need wood for buildings, craftables and goals.

if a bear spawns.dont kill it.because the maximum of each species of varmits is 1 so if 1 bear spawns another one cannot spawn!thats how i chopped al my tres!

My saplings were placed next to each other, they'll still grow to full size closely packed, but they'll be difficulty finding anything behind them.

How about space between Lumber Trees? If we put it so close when they are saplings, they're able to fully growth, aren't they? I think it takes more space when growing up. Do they stop growing due to lacking of space? Thanks for help

Nope, maturing does unfortunately not equal the amount of chops. Did the pine testing myself. They really do seem to take 11 days to reach the final stage.
