A Spouse is a companion to the Pioneer which is acquired after completing all steps of the Get Married Goals. The Pioneer may select the Spouse to help maintain the Homestead by clicking on his/her avatar.
The Spouse defaults to the opposite gender of the Pioneer, but the player may change that, either when creating the Spouse or by customizing the Spouse from the Family Album. The appearance of the Spouse can be changed at any time. A Spouse is required before a Kid can be born, which will occur regardless of the genders of the Pioneer and the Spouse. Spouses have their own unique Goals to accomplish.
When you click the Spouse, he/she will answer "Howdy!".

- Family Fun, Part I of II was a Limited Edition Goal that required the Pioneer to harvest 50 Fruit Trees with your Spouse.
