In-Game Hint

Visit your neighbors to respond to their Classified Ads. You can publish a Daily Edition by clicking your Newspaper Stand and selecting "Publish."

Bug your neighbors to ask for something so you can respond.

I get the pop-up message asking for help, and I send a message and then do my work. Then sometimes I'll get the 2ndary window allowing me to respond to the ad while other times I'll get nothing. How do you get the ad to come up every time?

Simple clicking Respond doesn't fulfill the objective. The neighbor has to not only have posted an ad to respond too, they also have to have chose an item to ask for. If they have not asked for an item in their ad, then the next window you need wont pop up. After clicking Respond and after you use your 5 actions, another window should pop up asking you to help out your neighbor by sending them the item they asked for in the ad. Once again though, if the neighbor has only posted an ad without also posting a request for an item, the window will NOT pop up and you have to go to another neighbor and try again.

I figured it out. Visiting is not enough. You need to do work on their homestead, then the classified ad comes up to click Respond.

When I view neighbor's classified ads, the Respond button is gray and nothing happens when I click it.

ive visited 2 people and responded but neither one said what they wanted...i dont get it!

im not sure where the ad actually is? i see the finished stand on my neighbors but i cant click on the building? am i missing it? i had an ad pop up but im not sure how and same thing happened where it didnt say what they wanted... help?

How do you respond to a neighbor's classified ad? I've been to 2 neighbors and clicked respond but its not counting toward my goal

You have to agree to send your neighbor what (s)he is looking for (it doesn't go from your stock). Then the usual send tool-message comes - and it counts at your mission. Your neighbor gets a link to get what you sent him / her on his / her homepage as well.
