DayEdit

The standard Day in FrontierVille is a full 24 hours. The Day is not based on the 23-hour clock that exists in other Zynga games.

Each day at midnight GMT (equivalent to 8:00PM Eastern Daylight Time), the reward limit that can be claimed or sent on the News Feed is reset. On the News Feed, a maximum of 30 items can be claimed from Neighbors, and a maximum of 50 items can be sent to neighbors, during this 24-hour period.

Some actions, such as collecting bonuses on the Homestead, only reset 24 hours after they are performed by the Pioneer, regardless of the actual time of day.

DebrisEdit

Debris are part of the gameplay in FrontierVille and refers to grass, thorns, skulls and other items that can grow wild on your Homestead. Your Pioneer can clear out debris but they will grow back again. How long an area stays clear depends on the proximity to other items such as Buildings or Trees or other items.

HomesteadEdit

Main article: Homestead

The Homestead is the plot of land lived on in FrontierVille by the Pioneer and eventually his/her Spouse and Kid. This parcel of land is given to the Pioneer at the beginning of the game and is full of Trees, Grass, Wildflowers, Cactus, Thorns, Rocks, and Skulls. Clearing the Homestead will open up free space that allows the Pioneer to build some Buildings, care for Animals or plant Trees. The size of the Homestead when it's started at the beginning of the game is able to be upgraded through quests starting in August 11th, 2010. The Pioneer is free to customize the Homestead however seen fit. All other players of the game have a Homestead of their own and the Pioneer may visit these Neighbor's Homesteads at any time and earn rewards by helping them.

VarmintsEdit

Main article: Varmint

Varmint is the word FrontierVille uses to describe animals that suddenly appear on your Homestead while Clearing land, chopping Trees, or harvesting Crops. The Varmints currently in the game are Bears, Foxes, Snakes, Groundhogs and Coyotes . Snakes are found while clearing the land, groundhogs are found while harvesting crops, and bears are found while chopping trees, foxes while feeding Chickens or geese, and Coyotes whilst feeding Chickens and possibly geese. The small varmints such as the snake and the groundhog can be "clobbered" and the bigger varmints such as the Bear must be scared away. Whilst missions require you to 'clobber', they require that you completely 'clobber', so as to remove the animal from your land. Thus the missions require a complete 'clobber', ie removal, in order to achieve that mission goal.

  • How do you start an account if you do not have a facebook?

  • my collection is growing big!

  • to get extra coins (filling bar) :

when the bar highlights in red, click on market, try to continue your tasks with this window open, until you hear items dropping, close window, and collect your coins, xp's, food, collectibles, repeat this as much as you need. you' will still need to be fast as the items will disappeared after a while, but you can the max bonus of coins. when you tend neighbours, leave a facebook wall post request opened, until you perform the 5 tasks, the only inconvenient is that you can't resize the screen, and visibility is not perfect ....

    • What bar in red??

    • Second anonymous user, the first anonymous user is referring to the "bonus" bar.

I actually have another technique that works better: Visit a friend who has notifications disabled, perform five actions there, and when it prompts you to send them some tools, click the button to do so. You'll get a Facebook error message, which is smaller than the regular Facebook prompt, and while that is up, you can do whatever you want and keep the bonus going.

The only problem comes when you get one of those annoying popups that doesn't have a "Cancel" button at the bottom, because the "X" button at the top is behind the Facebook window and you can't close the game popup without closing the Facebook window first. And at that point, the clock starts ticking again and you can start losing items again. (They aren't really lost, because you get the XP/coins/energy when they disappear, but by disappearing, you can't use those items for the bonus.)

    • When trying to fill the bonus bar, first perform an action that prompts you to "Share" something. Click to "share" it, but DON'T post it to your wall (or friend's wall). Instead, leave the window up and work around it in the background. The Bonus bar won't flash red or reset until you reach the highest bonus. =)

    • Another thing about what I just said (read above). The click-able XP, coins, collectibles, etc., won't fade away either if the "Click to Post" window is up.

  • Yeah I have to agree, it does not appear to me at least that collection items are automatically collected. I try and observe it and I've not seen any indication it's the case

  • I'm sure the collection items aren't automatically collected

  • I never get anything automatically collected, even after it disappears.

  • The first user is right. Everything is collected when it disappears. However, if not everything disappeared and you leave, not everything may collect.

  • you're wrong. when visiting neighbors, you need to pick up the heart and collectibles that dropped. otherwise, it will just disappear. same thing when harvesting crops at your farm, coins need to be picked up.

p/s: i already tried it, leaving collectibles like that, it didn't go right to your inventory. before this yes, but i guess zynga changed it already.

  • Everything is collected no matter what, when it disapears it simply goes in your wood counter if a tree, collectibles go with collectibles etc, etc. The only reason you shoould have for picking up the items is for a coin bonus.

  • I am really frustrated with this game!!! Every time I clean up all the grass and trees, new ones keep appearing, effectively impeding any progress in the game and I waste the limited energy doing the same thing!!! Secondly, Snakes, foxes and bears appear in one go ---- SO ANNOYING! Thirdly, Pop up screens about everything appear right on the game, effectively stopping us from collecting anything below it!!!

HAVE NO INTEREST in pursuing this!

    • when I am trying to clear my land and a snake , fox , or ground hog comes out I dont kill it , I go on about what I was doing and it it is in my way I simply move my crops to where it dont effect it anymore then when I get done with everything I kill it . no more will pop out while there is one already there. and when Im trying to chop trees and a bear pops out most of the time I cant continue to chop my tree so I hit him once and he moves out of my way.

  • Does it really make sense to keep the sections on this page for Debris, Homestead, and Varmints? They have their own page, and I'm not sure they should be included here. I had originally created a page for Day, which got re-directed here. What do others think? Should we remove everything except Day, and put it back to its own page?

  • Some actions like, collecting bonuses, only reset 24 hours after you perform them.

  • I think once a day actions reset at midnight GMT.

  • Does any one know how "only once per day" actions are timed?
