Energy-icon.png
Energy is a resource used to perform actions on the Homestead. Most actions consume Energy-icon.png 1 Energy until a Varmint appears. Performing an action around Varmints uses Energy-icon.png +1 extra Energy point, but now you can do action as when you don't have varmint. Planting Crops and removing withered Crops does not consume any Energy.

Energy BarEdit

Energy Bar
JeaniedaveAdded by Jeaniedave

The Energy Bar displays the amount of Energy currently available to the Pioneer. Hovering over the Energy Bar with the mouse will display two numbers. The first number represents the amount of current Energy (as a combination of both Regular Energy and Bonus Energy), and the second number displays the Maximum Energy Level.

Regular EnergyEdit

Regular Energy

Energy displayed in the Energy Bar as a white number represents an amount of Energy that can be easily replenished. This type of Regular Energy is restricted, and can not be greater than the Maximum Energy Level.

This Regular Energy can be replenished as follows (but only up to the level of the Maximum Energy Level):

  • Energy automatically replenishes at a rate of Energy-icon.png 1 Energy point every 5 minutes.
  • Buying Meals at the Market replenishes Energy according to the type of Meal.
  • Collecting Meal Gifts from the News Feed replenishes Energy according to the type of Gift bonus.
  • Completing some Collections replenishes Energy according to the type of Collection bonus.
  • Gaining an Experience Level resets the Energy to the equivalent Maximum Energy Level.
  • Working on the Homestead will sometimes compensate the amount of Energy used to perform the action.
  • Visiting Neighbors will sometimes generate Energy-icon.png 1 Energy for their tending actions.

Bonus EnergyEdit

Bonus Energy
Kyle WAdded by Kyle W

Energy displayed in the Energy Bar as a yellow number represents an amount of Energy that exceeds the normal Maximum Energy Level.

This Bonus Energy can be gained as follows:

  • Visiting Neighbors will yield Energy-icon.png 5 Energy for the first visit or Energy-icon.png 1 Energy per subsequent daily visit.
  • Harvesting an adult Horse will yield Energy-icon.png 0 - 4 Energy.
  • Harvesting an adult Mule will yield Energy-icon.png 3 Energy.
  • Harvesting Mystery Animals often yields Energy-icon.png 1 - 2 Energy.
  • Collecting the Daily Bonus at the Inn adds Energy-icon.png 3 Energy.
  • Collecting Today's Weather bonus will yield various amounts of Energy.
  • Energy is a possible prize from Mystery Gifts.

Maximum Energy Level Edit

The Maximum Energy Level is a function of the Pioneer's current Experience Level, Goals that have been accomplished on the Homestead, from Collections, and from the Market.

Some Pioneers who have been on the Homestead for a long period of time may have a slightly higher Maximum Energy Level, as the game has made some adjustments since its inception.

Pioneers with many Neighbors may have also received more Beef Jerky from Mystery Gifts, giving them a much higher Energy Level to Experience Level ratio.

  • I read all the comments and was quite informed. HOWEVER, I feed (harvest) my horses, mules, specialty critters, as well as the rest of them every morning and evening and NEVER get extra energy. I'm happy for all who have higher energy than myself, but still don't understand it, and I realize that someone who has been playing for a much longer time than myself would naturally have a higher energy level. There just seems to be no rhyme nor reason.

  • we should fix table soon

  • That table is worthless. It should be represented as a list of things that can increase your max energy. For instance, everybody knows you start at 10. current setup looks like +1 per level. Most people have taken tons of beef jerky to increase their cap. Simply list the bonuses given for goal completion as a list below that. That would also keep the table from flowing into infinity to the right as new stuff is added. Not to mention the fact it stops at level 100.

    • I personally think we should just get rid of the table as there are to many variables to make it accurate. Not all levels add to the max cap either. Book of knowledge etc. I think get rid of it. One less thing for people to complain about.

  • IN THE BEGINNING I WOULD GET 25 -27 ENERGY BUT NOW ITS ONLY 17 AND IT WON'T GIVE ME ANYMORE. WHY? I HOPE IT GOES UP LIKE THE CHART SAYS BUT IM ON LEVEL 22 I NEED SOME FRIENDS PLEASE ADD ME MY NAME IS ELIZABETH CHAFFER.

  • i'm level 76 and i have 49 energy

  • Level 91 and have 49

  • The above table is misleading. I'm level 20 and have a max energy of 22.

  • hey guys add me on facebook, i need neighbours, 'Minoru Copley' im on a boat

  • I just fed all of my mules and I didn't get any energy from any of them. What's going on here?

  • T.T i'm level 47 and only have 29 energy.

  • That sucks how older players have higher energy...stupid game.

    • Not necessarily.

    • richer players have more energy

    • my nieghbor is level nineteen (i'm twenty two) she has a higher energy level than me

    • Anybody still reading these older posts may want to note that Beef Jerky is available in each color of mystery gift. Players with more neighbors, or who have played longer will almost always have a higher Energy Level to Experience Level ratio than new players or players with few neighbors. I added this to the page above.

    • It is also worth mentioning that people who use the exploit to change any request item to a mystery gift is increasing their chance of getting beef jerky. This cheat may explain why some players have HUGE energy levels.

  • level 41, 40 energy :(

  • Level 55, 148 energy =)

  • Yes, makes sense to change to order of the columns. In fact, I'm restructuring the entire table. However....we need to figure out how to fully represent the correct numbers. I'm currently at a max energy of 48, at experience level 42. The referenced article says I got some for the experience, some for being married, some for my child. I have not turned in any collections that would increase my max energy. Some goals, according to this article, increase it, but I don't remember which one(s). Anybody remember? I just can't figure out why my max energy is up to 48.

  • Wow that's a helpful article, Jeanie.

Also I wanted to add, shouldn't the chart be displayed like the one in that article, with the levels first and the max energy second. (Meant to point that out a while back but I must've got busy editing something else and forgot.)

  • I think people are inputting numbers that reflect their max energy, even though they may have done things like the School House lesson that gives a boost to energy, or a collection that gives a boost...

  • The article at http://zynga.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1754/cissues/1/session/L3NpZC9yZkI3Z1I0aw%3D%3D lists the max energy up to level 25. However, my max energy from level 25 and up (as reflected on this page) is significantly higher than the calculations on this referenced page. Can anyone explain the difference from this reference, to what we are really seeing? Can anyone at the higher levels confirm what there max energy is?

  • I change the chart and adjusted the zynga chart to the maximum

  • Lame. My energy is 26 and I'm at level 32.

  • My energy has seemed to max out at 49. I've been there for levels 32,33,34, and 35. maybe before that as well.

  • They Changed the way energy is handled here the link to Zyanga support where they list it out

    http://zynga.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1754/cissues/1/session/L3NpZC9yZkI3Z1I0aw%3D%3D

  • I'm at Level 24 and I have 35 energy. If that helps :)

  • There is only one collection now that provides +1 to the energy bar.

  • There are also different collections that can increase your max energy; completing these collections multiple times will allow you to increase your energy more than just leveling up

  • @ Anonymous, you guys should try not to make complaints here, this is mearly a wiki trying to provide infomation to users on how to play the game. If you have experinced bugs it is best you contact Zynga instead of writing it down here. (You should probs take a Screen shot of the problem aswell)
