We Just thought we'd let you know we added some more categories to the wiki badges. In case you're interested.

Now you can earn points working on Goal, Stubs, Badges, building, Decorations, Debris, Level, Crop, Varmints, and Collection pages, also for editing pages in general, adding Categories to pages, adding images, writing blogs, contributing to this wiki everyday and a few other things.

In celebration of the Wiki's name change and the name change of the game, the Content Team has been hard creating you guys a new skin. You should be seeing trees in the background instead of the logs (if not, don't worry it's just image caching on the servers). I have created a script to upload a zip file with all the icons for easier access for everyone; the file is ~27 MB and refreshed every morning around 9 GMT (as long as my server's working properly :P). I have also added a web interface to the script, which also allows for downloading individual files and running the script on demand (no more than once per hour). Hopefully, this will make getting icons easier for everyone and not require going into the code each time there's an update. The script takes about 15 minutes to complete and should automatically pull in the latest version of all the icons (until they change their scheme). Today I felt like upgrading the "Visiting Neighbours" guide. Its a good guide, I mean if you are really looking for an fast way to get coins or whatever, its good to know what you can get most coins from so you dont have to guess.
I you go to the page for example "Pear Tree" you can see how much it gives you, but only on your own frontier.

So its good to see how much it gives you on someone elses frontier!
I put in 19 mystery animals and their values, and also some animals and crops.

Now I dont have anymore neighbours to visit, so I have to continue tomorrow instead.

I want badges!!!

Well, at the end of the year, I always start thinking back throughout the year. For example, this wiki. I joined this wiki on the 4th of July this year, about a month after FrontierVille was started...and the day I joined, I edited about 1,000 pages, categorizing them. And then I did the same thing about a month later, because I forgot to add the Images category.

So, I've seen this wiki evolve. I've seen it with basic information, and watched it slowly evolve into a wiki with comprehensive data on everything in the game.

What I'm basically saying is, thank you to all of the editors, anonymous or not, and let's make 2011 an even better year for the wiki!

I'm down to just 3 goals: It's Chicken Roundup Time!, Trolling the Tolls, and More French Fries Please! Basically, I'm just waiting for people to send me certain items. I actually like the posting on the news feed then asking friends directly for stuff.

I hate HATE the new layout and functions. It just seems so foreign and hard to navigate. I guess I'm just being stubborn about change. I liked it the way it was before!

Snow has arrived in the New England... I'm so thankful that it's not the FrontierVille era and that my house is heated. I can't imagine living out in the cold. Those cabins probably had a lot of drafts.

Frontierville can be frustrating but mmore importantly can be a challenge.

Plan ahead is the secret to not being bogged down and waiting asll the time. Some goals rely on other people to help so not much you can do about that.

Hi all! i just bought some horseshoes for the very first time (because of the sale yesterday) using paypal and right after that I got a purchase ban, to which i emailed Zynga and was told it would be permanent. Any ideas what would be the reason? Paypal was in all sense, legitimate so how can my account be flagged for fraud. And has anyone came across such situation before? Thanks.!

My sisters says her trees have been heeling themselves after being chopped, meaning that she chopped one that needs 12 chops 2 times and the next day, it was as good as new. Has anyone else made that observation?

Continuity question I guess.. I just noticed an edit where 'colour' was changed to 'color'. For future reference, I'd like to know if we solely use American English here, as opposed to British English, or both? I'm not American, therefore use British English, and have a fairly strong preference for it, although I won't change 'color' to 'colour' ;)

I don't really see the point in changing 'colour' to 'color', as it is correct spelling, and I simply am not capable of changing my used version of English just for writing here. However, if there is a strong preference to use American English, I will not undo the edit, and accept edits of my British English when deemed necessary for continuity.

Recently, Zynga has changed the requirements for some of the goals. For example, for the Goal Collect Some Eggs (which was previously called Collect a Dozen Eggs), you now only need to collect three eggs, one of each kind. Before the change, it required four of each kind. Another example is the goal Breakfast in Bed which used to require two Pillows, and now requires two Linens instead.

Both these goals were really hard when they just came out as the drop rate on all those items was fairly low. Pillows were extremely rare daily bonus-drops from the Inn, and only after you finished the building, not during whacking the frame. It is also a possible bonus from the Weather Forecast, but it was still very hard and could take over a month to coll…

I have 3 goals left until I face the frontier all by my lonesome. Hopefully, they come up with some more goals by then. I'm also struggling to gather enough building materials to build my sawmill, but I guess that will come in time. By far, the Become a Master Farmer III goal is the hardest.

I love how a "ton" of people added the same pictures of the mystery animals. News feeds are there for a reason people!

Has anyone else noticed that it no longer gives you the discounted offer to finish a building by buying all of the materials at once?

Should we be told?

• Being able to choose a spouse from your neighbour list, rather than having a computerised version - Yet still keep that option open for people who'd prefer not to.
• After choosing your spouse, you would have to begin a new homestead again, but this time you'd be making it together.. Sharing it.

I just think it'd be something fun for people who have friends that also play!

Extracting transparent images from Frontierville (or similar Zynga games, like Farmville) with Chrome can be done using just the tools included in the browser.

First, launch the game, and open up the Chrome Developer Tools panel:

Select the Resources tab in the Developer Tools panel, then select the Other group:

Scroll down to locate the image resource you're looking for. Unfortunately, there's no way to sort or filter this list in any meaningful way (it is intended for performance tuning and debugging), so you'll have to locate your image manually. Sorry for being away a couple days this week. I recently got back into one of my favorite virtual pet sites and they have a summer event going on that I'm trying to collect all items for. Nearly done and event ends in 4 days so, I should be back and editing in no time. :)

Dear Diary,

the last days have been full of worries. Our li'l Jim has been sick for about four days now and isn't able to go to school. To heal him, I would need Apricot Oil, but I cannot find it anywhere. I have harvested our apricot trees dozens of times, checked on neighbors' homestead, asked neighbors ... all in vain. I hope that Jimmy won't get worse. It was hard enough building the school and providing Jimmy with all that food. I don't want to loose him now. If there only was a church nearby, I would go and pray and sacrifice a lamb or something.
