Animals are items that are available for purchase in the Market using either Coins or Horseshoes. Some Animals are available as a gift from a Neighbor. Feeding an Animal results in a bonus of Coins, Experience Points, and sometimes Food or a Collectible item. Animals, like Trees, can be left indefinitely before being tended, although an Animal's growth is determined by how many times it has been tended.

- Spying on Some Foxes! is a Goal that requires the Pioneer to feed 25 Animals.
- Winter's a Comin' Part III of III was a Goal that required the Pioneer to feed 100 Animals.
- Tidying Up, Part I of II was a Limited Edition Goal that required the Pioneer to tend 50 Animals.
- Pony Express, Part IV of V is a Goal that requires the Pioneer to tend 20 Animals.
- Buildin’ Yore Business, Part I of II is a Goal that requires the Pioneer to tend 20 Neighbor Animals.
- Train 'Em Up, Part I of V is a Goal which requires the Pioneer to feed 30 Animals on horseback.
