Tasks Edit

	Have Your Child Clear 1 Thorn.	Unlock for 15 Horseshoes
	Have Your Child Clear a Cactus.	Unlock for 10 Horseshoes

Tips Edit

Thorns grow in the upper right portion of the map, and Cacti grow in random spots, every 24 hours.

You can purchase Thorns and Cacti at the Market.

	Pioneer is battling the wilderness in FrontierVille Pricker bushes are a thorny problem but Pioneer cut them all down has some "experiences" to share for bonus XP!

i had been waiting ages for a thorn to grow, when i found out about this: http://pioneerparty.wordpress.com/2010/06/28/frontierville-how-to-get-your-thorns-to-grow/ i cleared the north east half of my frontier, and the next day had thorns, but the mission disappeared, no 25xp, or 1000 coins bonus.

Don't worry, once you can expand your farm you will have plenty of thorns again. Just wait and work on other goals, keep your precious horse shoes for something better. :)

You know, if you have enough horseshoes, you can buy thorns and cacti from the market.

I cleared them all waiting to regrow..but I get everything else besides thorns. Cactus, flowers, rocks...no thorns!

Well.. I also did the mistake of clearing my entire field.. But.. Anyway.. just clear the top left of your field(or leave it empty) :P I grew 4 thorns last night there :)

Have patience. Thorns do regrow. I made the HUGE mistake of clearing mine before I got the quest requiring thorn removal. Since that time, I have had three regrow. As for the quest being gone, I think most likely it is just off screen as I have several that weren't on screen, but I did complete and they popped up with rewards.

The task is gone now when I log into frontierville. I guess they figured I was never going to get any thorns. There are still none. LOL..

A week now and still no thorns... And my forest is back up to trees that are 12 cuts to knock em down. :(

My cacti regrew within two days, around wildflowers/grassy areas.

It helps to have an area away from decorations with a lot of trees (at least 20) for cacti to show up. Unfortunately I think thorns only grow around LARGE trees since the hint says they grow in the 'deep woods'.

I had all my thorns cut down before this task. I've replanted all the trees and have been waiting 4 days but no thorns. :-[
